2020 Seminars -cancelled

Because of COVID-19 Olives New Zealand has cancelled the courses planned for April. We hope to be able to schedule these for 2021.

Processing Practices with Pablo Canamasas
Pablo runs an excellent course with the first day being theory and the second day being hands on. The first day will be the seminar held at Auckland Airport Jet Park Hotel and the second day will be the practical demonstration at The Waiheke Olive Oil Company, Oneroa, Waiheke Island. This course will be Tuesday 14th – Wednesday 15th April (finishing no later than 1pm). Transport will be available on the Wednesday to Waiheke Island, leaving Jet Park Hotel at 7am and returning by 3pm. 


Judging EVOO and Flavoured Oils with Dr Soumi Paul Mukhopadhyay
Dr Soumi Paul Mukhopadhyay is New South Wales Department of Primary Industries’ (NSW DPI) Sensory and Consumer Research Scientist for Horticultural research. She is currently leading the Hort Innovation funded project “Australian Olive industry sensory training” delivering a national sensory training program for promoting Australian extra virgin olive oil and table olives.  The Judging EVOO and Flavoured Oils course will be at the Auckland Jet Park Hotel on Wednesday 15th April starting at 3pm and finishing at 7pm. The course will feature top winning oils from both New Zealand and Australia.
