We are Cindy and Tony Millar. Aorangi Estate was established in September 2009 when we hand-planted some 2000 trees in the Waipara Valley region of North Canterbury, famous for its wine, sheep and beef. Our choice of trees were mix of Tuscan and Greek varieties – all of which are doing well in the stoney loam soil.
The small olive press on site produces excellent cold pressed free run oil and we are continually looking to expand our enterprise in concert with like-minded neighbours.

La Casa Toscana is known by the locals and visitors alike as ‘the Gateway to Akaroa’. First planted on this picturesque property in 2000, the olive trees are nestled in a 20 acre valley with fresh water springs, ponds and native woods overlooking the Takamatua Bay.
La Casa Toscana has been consistently awarded medals in every competition entered.
Home of the Best in Show 2009 Olive Oil Awards winner, 2010 Best Olive Oil – Grill Magazine, 2011 Best in Class in two categories, as well as other Gold and Silver Awards. We also produce scrumptious table olives. Our products are used by discerning chefs and are available online and at selected retailers.

The grove was established in 1999 in consultation with the late Andy Rosanowski and others. There are approximately 2000 trees which are a mixture of Barnea, Leccino, Frantoio and Manzanillo varieties.
Awarding-winning oil and table olives are produced.
